The Barton Community College women's team gave No. 22 ranked Cowley College a run for their money Wednesday night at the Barton Gym but couldn't hold off the Tigers' rally in a 70-64 defeat. The fourth straight loss drops Barton's conference mark to 9-9 and 12-10 while Cowley keeps pace in the Jayhawk race at 15-3 and 19-3 overall. The Lady Cougars will next head to Allen County Community College on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.

Jaylin Stapleton led the Lady Cougars in scoring with eighteen points and dishing out seven assists while Taylor Regan recorded her fourth double-double of the season with fifteen points and a game high ten rebounds.

Knocking down three treys in the momentum shifting fourteen point Tiger third quarter advantage, Julia Nygard dropped twenty-four points on the night finishing 6-of-11 behind the arc. Kedranea Addison contributed twelve off the bench with Brittany Hall scoring ten in leading the Tigers with five assists. Brenda Silva collected nine rebounds with nine points to go along with three rejections.
