Bio
Kelsey Feist enters her seventh year in athletic training at Barton and her fourth year as the Head Athletic Trainer, having assumed the role in January 2023 following the retirement of longtime Head Athletic Trainer Ken “Doc” Henderson.
Feist oversees the entire athletic training staff while directly providing care specifically to the baseball, men’s basketball, cheer, dance, softball and volleyball programs.
Feist became a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trains’ Association Board of Certification in April 2019. She later obtained her Kansas State Licensure in August of the same year.
A native of Hoisington, Kansas, the former Kelsey Brummer graduated Cum Laude in May of 2019 from Wichita State University, earning a Bachelor of Art degree in Athletic Training.
While at Wichita State, Feist was member of Delta Gamma Sorority, volunteered at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and was part of the Athletic Training Student Association with completed clinical rotations in women’s basketball, baseball, and all high school sports.
Feist is married to her husband Sam and resides in Claflin, Kansas.
