Bio
Kelsey Feist enters her eighth year in Barton's Sports Medicine program and her fifth year as Head Athletic Trainer after assuming the position in January 2023 following the retirement of longtime head athletic trainer Ken "Doc" Henderson.
Feist oversees the College's athletic training staff while serving as the primary athletic trainer for Barton's baseball, men's basketball, cheer, dance, softball, and volleyball programs.
She became a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification in April 2019 and obtained her Kansas athletic training license later that August.
A native of Hoisington, Kansas, the former Kelsey Brummer graduated cum laude from Wichita State University in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training.
During her time at Wichita State, Feist was a member of Delta Gamma, volunteered at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, participated in the Athletic Training Student Association, and completed clinical rotations with the Shockers' women's basketball and baseball programs as well as at the high school level.
Feist and her husband, Sam, reside in nearby Claflin with their twin daughters.
