Barton's Bergamin named KJCCC Goalkeeper of the Week #GoBarton
Bergamin joins Lisboa giving Barton consecutive KJCCC Goalkeeper honors
Gabriel Bergamin of the 6th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team has been named the week four KJCCC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Returning from an early-season injury, Bergamin kept the net clean for the first 72 minutes last Wednesday helping Barton to its second shutout of the season in a 4-0 win at Seward County Community College.
It's the second straight KJCCC goalkeeper award for the team as Pedro Lisboa earned the previous honor which also resulted in doubling with Masaki Tsuji for a Barton sweep of NJCAA awards.
Most recently, Bergamin and the Cougars chalked up a 3-1 victory yesterday versus Garden City Community College improving to 2-0-0 in league and 4-1-1 overall.
The squad had a quick turnaround by leaving early today for a 4:00 p.m. (CT) kick at Lamar Community College before returning to Jayhawk play Sunday at Dodge City Community College.
