Barton Volleyball to offer summer camps and leagues

The Barton Community College volleyball program is offering volleyball camps and leagues this summer for various age and grade levels.   Early registration is encouraged as space is limited for each camp and league.  Additional information and registration form can be obtained by contacting Coach Phil Shoemaker or online at www.BartonSports.com. 

Beginning Skills Camp – June 5 & 6
The Beginning Skills Camp is a terrific two day experience to introduce a solid foundation to the fundamental skills of the game. Recommended for participants with one year or less of organized training, this skill camp usually fits the 4-6 grade levels. The camp will include a lot of drills and games to develop individual skill proficiency and confidence.  A great camp to introduce one to volleyball and serves as a great introduction to the Intermediate Skills Camp. 

Intermediate Skills Camp – June 10-12
An exciting, fast paced, three day camp for players focusing on the FUNdamental skills required for volleyball success.  The camp will include a lot of drills, games, contests, and prizes in a fun, cooperative and success-oriented atmosphere. Perfect for participants with at least one year of organized volleyball training, this skill camp usually fits the 6-9 grade levels.  

Advanced Skills Camp – June 24-27
A challenging four day volleyball training experience for players ready to compete at the high school varsity and junior varsity level.  Usually fitting the 9-12 grade levels, this skill camp will emphasize the development of solid technical and tactical skills utilizing games, contests and prizes in a fun, competitive atmosphere.  The Advanced Skills Camp also offers room and meal options to add to the camper's convenience and experience. 

Middle School League – June 3-July 1
The middle school level league will be held on Tuesday evenings, beginning June 3 and continuing through June 25.  Cost is $50 per player and includes league t-shirt. Registration deadline is May 18th.

Junior Varsity League - June 2-30
The junior varsity/ C-team level league will be held Monday evenings beginning June 2 and continuing through June 30.  Cost is $50 per player and includes league t-shirt.  Registration deadline is May 18th.

Varsity Level League – June 2-30
The varsity level league will be held on Monday and Tuesday evenings, beginning June 2 and continuing through June 30.  Cost is $65 per player and includes league t-shirt. Registration deadline is May 18th.
