Barton's Santos snags KJCCC player of the week award #GoBarton

Maria Santos of the Barton Community College volleyball team has been named week eight's KJCCC Division I Offensive Player of the Week.

Santos helped the Cougars conclude a 2-0 week hitting .577 on 26 swings with just one lone attack error. Recording eight kills in the five sets played, Santos was also solid defensively with 10 digs and six blocks.

The award is the sophomore's first of her Cougar career and team's seventh weekly award on the season.

Santos and Barton will look to extend their win streak to three straight Monday night in Colby before returning home Wednesday to host Dodge City Community College in a 6:30 p.m. first serve.
