Freshman season at Barton
As a freshman, Knipplemeyer pitched 19 innings for Barton. He finished the season with a 4.74 ERA posting a 2-0 record.

Knippelmeyer, a two year starter at Lincoln Southeast High School, hit .461 and 25 RBI as a senior. Had a 4-3 record with an ERA of 4.34 and 44 strikeouts. As a junior hit .360 with 21 RBI and had a 1-0 record. During the summer, Knippelmeyer hit .330 and had 28 RBI. Finished with a 6-1 record with 47 strikeouts.
