Was a four year starter at Andover High School where he earned All-League honors three years in a row. He compiled a 6-2 record with a 3.06 ERA his senior season. James has a good work ethic and excels in the classroom. He had a good fall and will be counted on in many roles this spring. He is the son of Rick and Lori Hilts.
