Weather cuts short Cougar comeback, Barton men place fourth at Central Kansas Classic #GoBarton

Despite the weather conditions, the Barton Community College men's golf team was working its way up the leaderboard in the final round of the two-day Central Kansas Classic, only to have its charge through Tuesday's eleven holes wiped off the board with the Classic's conclusion due to rain being added to the mid-40 degree temperature. The Cougars officially ended in fourth place, having shot a combined 55-over 615 in Monday's two rounds of 15-25mph winds and decreasing temperature conditions throughout the day. Barton completed the morning session with a 311 and as the weather conditions deteriorated just like what was occurring in Tuesday's morning round, the Cougars played better golf in the afternoon carding a 304.
