Two overtimes not enough as Barton men's soccer ties No. 19 Otero Junior College

In one of the most exciting games played at Cougar Field, the Barton Community College and Otero Junior College men’s soccer teams played to a 2-2 tie Sunday. Barton held a 1-0 lead at halftime as Sam McCrillis scored his second goal of the season on an Ezequiel Alvarez pass. Otero’s Harrison Houle tied the match thirteen minutes into the second half before McCrillis put the Cougars back ahead eleven minutes later. McCrillis, who now has three goals in two games, scored on Alvarez’s second assist of the game. The Rattlers’ Danny McQuaid tied the contest with just over four minutes remaining in regulation scoring off a John Muresan assist. In the golden goal overtimes, both teams missed scoring opportunities and the contest ended in a 2-2 tie.
