Piddon increases championship lead, Lady Cougars remain in fifteenth place

Despite its improved play in the second round of the NJCAA Women’s Golf National Championship, the Barton Community College women’s golf team remained in fifteenth place carding a five stroke improvement 359. Teeing off in the second wave of participants, the Lady Cougars had a rough start to the opening two holes going a combined 20-over par for nearly a fifth of their score before settling in finishing the round at 108-over. Barton looks to make a climb up the leaderboard in Wednesday’s 11:54 a.m. central time tee off being paired by the most immediate teams in their path as Snead leads by four strokes and Wallace State at a more distant thirty-four strokes ahead.
