High School:  Cody was 145-44 in his high school career qualifying for state in all four seasons.  Placing third his senior season for the Class 5A Panthers, Cody also took sixth place his sophomore and junior seasons.

The Barton Community College Wrestling team competed in its second open tournament of the season taking to Kearney, Nebraska, on Saturday for the one-day UNK Holiday Inn Open. Going 9-3 in the 285 pound weight class, the Cougars finished the tournament 29-31 against a field of over 500 wrestlers from teams on the NCAA Division I, II, NAIA, and junior college levels.

The No. 20 Barton Community College Wrestling team fell to No. 10 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M 41-6 in Tuesday’s dual in Miami, Oklahoma. Getting a defensive take down in the 197 weight class for their lone points, the Cougars Finding competition on the mat against the defending national champions a tough one, the Cougars’ lone points came in the 197 weight class getting a defensive pin. Barton will next return to the mat on Saturday as the Cougars head to Kearney, Nebraska for the UNK Holiday Inn Open.

No. 20 Barton Community College Wrestling took to the road on Wednesday returning home with a split of its two duals in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Cougars first took on NCAA Division II host University of Central Missouri, falling to the Mules 33-12, before dominating nationally receiving votes Wentworth Military Academy 56-0 in setting a program record for points in a dual. Barton will next return to the mats next Tuesday traveling to defending national champion and currently ranked No. 10 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in a 7:00 p.m. dual in Miami, Oklahoma.

Coming off an inaugural season of finishing as the No. 15 ranked team in the nation, the Barton Community College Wrestling program began its second season of competition capturing two individual titles Sunday in the Dan Harris Open at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. The Cougars finished the one-day event 35-27 adding two runner-up, a third place, and a pair of fourth places competing against fellow junior college competitors, as well as, competition from the NCAA Division II and NAIA levels.
